Dilmun

Dilmun was an ancient trading land in the Persian Gulf, generally identified with Bahrain and the adjacent coast. It acted as an intermediary in the trade between Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley, and Akkadian royal inscriptions refer to ships from Dilmun docking at Akkad, showing its place in the commerce of the Akkadian Empire.
