Fulani War
The Fulani War, or Fulani jihad, of 1804–1810 was the Islamic reform movement led by Usman dan Fodio against the Hausa kingdoms. It created the Sokoto Caliphate, one of the largest states in nineteenth-century Africa, and its spread destabilised neighbours including the Kanem-Bornu Empire.
