Goms
Goms is the uppermost section of the Rhône valley in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, from the Rhône Glacier down to near Brig. It was one of the seven tenths (Zenden) that ruled the Republic of the Valais and is now a district. Its villages of dark wooden houses form a German-speaking farming area.
