Haliartus
Haliartus was an ancient city of Boeotia on the southern shore of Lake Copais and a member of the Boeotian League. In 395 BCE the Spartan commander Lysander was killed beneath its walls at the start of the Corinthian War. During the Third Macedonian War the city sided with Perseus of Macedon, and in 171 BCE the Romans captured and destroyed it, giving its land to Athens.
