Hoveyzeh
Hoveyzeh is a town in Khuzestan province in south-western Iran, near the marshes on the Iraqi border. From the 15th century it was the capital of the Musha'sha, a dynasty of Arab sayyids who ruled much of Khuzestan under Safavid overlordship. Its importance declined from the 18th century as the Karkheh changed course and power passed to the Banu Ka'b.
