Inishowen
Inishowen is the largest peninsula in Ireland, in the north of County Donegal between Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle, ending at Malin Head, the most northerly point of the island. Its name means 'Eógan's island', after the ancestor of the Cenél nEógain, whose royal fort of Grianan of Aileach stands near its southern edge.
