Isin dynasty
The Isin dynasty was a line of kings who ruled from the city of Isin in southern Mesopotamia after the collapse of the Third Dynasty of Ur. It claimed continuity with Ur's rulers and competed with the dynasty of Larsa. Its rise marks the fragmentation that followed the end of the Neo-Sumerian Empire.
