1698–1771 · 18th century

Jean Lamour was a locksmith and ironworker from Nancy who worked for Stanisław Leszczyński, duke of Lorraine and Bar. He made the gilded wrought-iron gates, railings and lanterns of the Place Royale, now Place Stanislas, in Nancy, completed in 1755. His work there is among the finest examples of rococo ironwork in Europe.
