Jinkaishū
The Jinkaishū was a law code issued in 1536 by Date Tanemune for the lands of the Date clan in southern Mutsu, in northern Japan. With 171 articles it is the longest of the house codes of the Sengoku warlords, dealing with criminal law, land, debts and relations between lords and retainers. It is an important source for the law and society of 16th-century Japan.
