Jupiter Latiaris
Jupiter Latiaris was the form of Jupiter worshipped as the shared god of the Latin peoples at his sanctuary on the Alban Mount, now Monte Cavo, near the site of Alba Longa. His annual festival, the Feriae Latinae, gathered the Latin communities for a common sacrifice. Rome took over the cult and its magistrates continued to celebrate it into imperial times.
