Kano Chronicle
The Kano Chronicle is a history of the rulers of Kano in northern Nigeria, written in Arabic in the late 19th century from older traditions and records. It lists the kings of Kano from Bagauda, traditionally around 999, to the late 19th century, recording wars, the arrival of Islam and trade. First translated into English by H. R. Palmer in 1908, it is the main written source for the early history of Kano.
