Kanva dynasty
The Kanva dynasty ruled Magadha in northern India after the Shungas, traditionally for forty-five years in the first century BCE. Its founder Vasudeva Kanva, a Brahmin minister, killed the last Shunga king Devabhuti, and the dynasty had four kings. According to the Puranas it was ended by an Andhra king, often identified with the Satavahanas.
