18th century · 18th century · Also known as Karorsinghia

The Karorsinghia Misl was one of the Sikh confederacies, or misls, of 18th-century Punjab, named after its leader Karora Singh. Its chiefs seized lands south of the Sutlej and in the region of the upper Yamuna. Its most famous leader, Baghel Singh, led Sikh raids into the Ganges plain and occupied Delhi in 1783, and the princely state of Kalsia grew from its holdings.
