Person
Khottiga
Khottiga was Rashtrakuta emperor of the Deccan from 967 to 972, succeeding his brother Krishna III. His reign saw the rapid decline of the empire: in 972 the Paramara king Siyaka II of Malwa, a former vassal, invaded the Deccan and sacked the capital Manyakheta. Khottiga died soon afterwards, and within a year the dynasty was overthrown by Tailapa II.
