Kincora
Kincora, Cenn Corad in Irish, was the royal residence of Brian Boru and the kings of the Dál gCais and Uí Briain, at Killaloe in County Clare on the River Shannon. Brian ruled from it as king of Munster and high king of Ireland until his death in 1014. Its destruction by northern forces in 1088 led Muirchertach Ua Briain to demolish Grianan of Aileach in 1101 in revenge.
