Kotsoteka

Also known as Kotsoteka Comanche

The Kotsoteka, or Buffalo Eaters, were one of the main divisions of the Comanche. They ranged over the central southern Plains, along the Canadian River in present-day Oklahoma and Texas, and like the other bands had their own chiefs and acted independently in war and trade. After the wars of the 1870s they were settled on the Kiowa-Comanche reservation in Indian Territory.
