Lake Vättern

Lake Vättern is the second-largest lake in Sweden, a long, narrow and deep lake of about 1,900 square kilometres in the south of the country. Jönköping lies at its southern end and the abbey town of Vadstena on its eastern shore. It separates the historical provinces of Västergötland and Östergötland, the old lands of the Geats.
