Leleges
The Leleges were a people named by Greek writers as early inhabitants of the Aegean coasts and islands, especially Caria, Ionia and parts of mainland Greece, before Greek settlement. Ancient authors often linked them with the Carians, and their identity, language and origins remain uncertain; fortified hill settlements on the Halicarnassus peninsula are known as Lelegian.
