Mansi
The Mansi, formerly called Voguls, are a Finno-Ugric people of western Siberia and the eastern slopes of the northern Urals, living mainly in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Hunters, fishers and herders, they paid fur tribute to the Khanate of Sibir and came under Russian rule from the late 16th century. With the Khanty they form the Ob-Ugric group, the closest linguistic relatives of the Hungarians.
