Osterode am Harz
Osterode am Harz is a town on the western edge of the Harz in Lower Saxony, Germany. First recorded in the 12th century, it belonged to the Guelph Principality of Grubenhagen and later to Hanover, and grew as a market and trading town serving the Harz silver mines. Its large granary, the Kornmagazin of 1719–1722, stored grain for the miners.
