Einbeck
Einbeck is a town in southern Lower Saxony, Germany, in the Leine valley. A member of the Hanseatic League, it was famous from the late Middle Ages for its strong beer, exported widely across northern Europe; the name of Bock beer derives from Einbeck. The town belonged to the Principality of Grubenhagen and keeps a well-preserved centre of half-timbered houses.
