Clausthal-Zellerfeld
Clausthal-Zellerfeld is a town in the Upper Harz of Lower Saxony, Germany, formed in 1924 from the mining towns of Clausthal and Zellerfeld. Silver and lead mining there flourished from the 16th century, making it the centre of the Upper Harz mining district, and its mining school of 1775 is now the Clausthal University of Technology. The district's historic water-management system is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
