Parliament of Great Britain
The Parliament of Great Britain was the legislature of the Kingdom of Great Britain, formed in 1707 by the union of the parliaments of England and Scotland and meeting at Westminster. By the Declaratory Act of 1720 it claimed the right to legislate for Ireland, a claim given up in 1782–1783. It was replaced in 1801 by the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
