Peace of Zsitvatorok
The Peace of Zsitvatorok was signed on 11 November 1606 at the mouth of the Zsitva River in Hungary, ending the Long Turkish War between the Habsburg Monarchy and the Ottoman Empire. It confirmed the existing frontier, replaced the Habsburgs' annual tribute with a single payment, and for the first time had the sultan address the Habsburg ruler as emperor, an equal. The peace held for over half a century.
