Person
Prasutagus
Prasutagus was king of the Iceni of East Anglia, who ruled as a client of Rome after the conquest of 43. On his death around 60 he left half his kingdom to the emperor Nero and half to his daughters, hoping to protect his family. Roman officials instead seized his realm and abused his widow Boudica and their daughters, provoking her revolt.
