Qalaichi

Also known as Qalaichi Tepe

Qalaichi is an archaeological site near Bukan in West Azerbaijan province, north-western Iran, linked with the Mannaean kingdom of the early 1st millennium BCE. Excavations found a fortified building decorated with glazed bricks and fragments of an Aramaic stele of the 8th century BCE. Some scholars identify it with the Mannaean capital Izirtu.
