Saqqez
Saqqez is a city in Kurdistan province in western Iran, in the Zagros Mountains. The area is rich in Iron Age remains: the nearby site of Ziwiye produced a famous hoard of gold, silver and ivory objects of the 7th century BCE, and some scholars place the Mannaean capital Izirtu in its neighbourhood.
