Qilian Mountains

The Qilian Mountains are a range on the north-eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, along the border of Gansu and Qinghai in China. Their snowmelt waters the oases of the Hexi Corridor, the route of the Silk Road between China and Central Asia. Chinese sources place the early Yuezhi between the Qilian Mountains and Dunhuang.
