Ralpachen, also called Tritsuk Detsen, was emperor of Tibet from about 815 to 838. A lavish patron of Buddhism, he promoted the translation of scriptures and the standardisation of terms, and concluded the peace treaty of 821–822 with Tang China, recorded on a bilingual pillar in Lhasa.
