River Don (Aberdeenshire)
The River Don is a river in north-east Scotland, flowing about 130 kilometres from the Grampian mountains through Aberdeenshire to the North Sea at Aberdeen. With the River Dee to its south, it bounded the lowlands of the Taexali in the Roman period, and the old burgh of Old Aberdeen grew at its mouth. The Brig o' Balgownie over it dates from the 14th century.
