Roskilde

Roskilde is a city on Zealand, Denmark, at the head of the Roskilde Fjord. It was a royal and episcopal centre from the late tenth century, and its cathedral, built from the twelfth century, has been the burial place of Danish monarchs since the fifteenth and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Five Viking ships found in the fjord are displayed in its Viking Ship Museum.
