Sankosh River
The Sankosh is a river that rises in northern Bhutan, where it is called the Puna Tsang Chu, and flows south through the Bhutanese town of Punakha into India, where it joins the Brahmaputra. In its lower course it forms part of the boundary between the states of Assam and West Bengal. In 1581 it became the boundary between the two halves of the divided Koch kingdom.
