Shimazu Iehisa
Shimazu Iehisa was a samurai commander of the Shimazu clan of Satsuma, the youngest brother of Shimazu Yoshihisa. He won the clan's great victories over the Ryūzōji at Okitanawate in 1584, where Ryūzōji Takanobu was killed, and over the forces of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's allies at Hetsugigawa in 1586. He died in 1587, shortly after the Shimazu submitted to Hideyoshi.
