Sinti
The Sinti are a Romani people of Central Europe, settled in German-speaking lands since the 15th century. Persecuted by the Nazi regime as racially alien, together with the Roma they were deported to camps and murdered in the genocide known as the Porajmos, in which hundreds of thousands of Sinti and Roma died. West Germany officially recognised their persecution as genocide in 1982.
