Sithathoriunet

19th century BCE · 19th century BCE

Sithathoriunet was an Egyptian princess of the Twelfth Dynasty, probably a daughter of Senusret II, buried near his pyramid at el-Lahun. Her tomb, excavated by Flinders Petrie and Guy Brunton in 1914, contained a treasure of jewellery, including a gold pectoral bearing the name of Senusret II, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and a crown now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
