Strandzha
Strandzha is a range of low, forested mountains in south-eastern Bulgaria and the European part of Turkey, near the Black Sea, rising to just over 1,000 metres. In antiquity it lay in Thrace, and in 1903 it was the scene of the Preobrazhenie Uprising against Ottoman rule, which briefly set up the Strandzha Commune.
