Strathspey
Strathspey is the valley of the River Spey in north-east Scotland, running from the Cairngorms through towns such as Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore towards the Moray Firth. Long the country of the Clan Grant, it is known for its pine forests, cattle droving and whisky distilling, and has given its name to the strathspey, a Scottish dance tune.
