Banffshire
Banffshire is a historic county of north-east Scotland, stretching from the Moray Firth coast at Banff and Macduff south into the Cairngorm mountains, including much of the Spey valley. It was used for local government until 1975 and is now divided between the Moray and Aberdeenshire council areas. Its lowlands were farming and fishing country, and its Speyside glens are known for whisky distilling.
