Tartus
Tartus is a port city on the Mediterranean coast of Syria, facing the island of Arwad. As Antaradus it was a mainland settlement of Arwad in antiquity, and as Tortosa it was a Crusader stronghold held by the Knights Templar, whose cathedral of Our Lady survives. It is now Syria's second port.
