Zered
The Zered, now Wadi al-Hasa, is a river valley in Jordan that runs west into the southern end of the Dead Sea. In antiquity it formed the boundary between Moab to the north and Edom to the south, and the Hebrew Bible records that the Israelites crossed it on their journey to Canaan. Its valley has yielded important Palaeolithic and Neolithic sites.
