Adda
The Adda is a river of Lombardy, northern Italy, about 313 km long, rising in the Alps, crossing the Valtellina and Lake Como and joining the Po near Cremona. For centuries it marked a frontier: between Milan and its eastern neighbours in the Middle Ages, and between the Duchy of Milan and the Republic of Venice from 1428.
