The Assizes of Jerusalem are a collection of medieval legal treatises setting out the laws and customs of the crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Cyprus. The most important were written in the 13th century by jurists such as Philip of Novara and John of Ibelin, count of Jaffa, describing the procedure of the High Court and the rights of the king's vassals. They are a major source for feudal law in the Latin East.
