Battle of Coronate

689 · 7th century

The Battle of Coronate was fought in 689 on the Adda river, near present-day Cornate d'Adda in Lombardy, between the Lombard king Cunipert and the rebel duke Alahis of Trent and Brescia. Cunipert won and Alahis was killed, ending a revolt that had driven the king from Pavia. Paul the Deacon describes the battle in his History of the Lombards.
