Battle of Rozgony
The Battle of Rozgony was fought on 15 June 1312 near Rozgony, now Rozhanovce in eastern Slovakia, between King Charles I of Hungary and the Aba family, who were supported by troops of Matthew Csák. Charles's victory, won with the help of the Saxons of Spiš, strengthened his hold on the kingdom against the great oligarchs. It was one of the bloodiest battles of medieval Hungary.
