Battle of Vézeronce

524 · 6th century

The Battle of Vézeronce was fought on 25 June 524 near Vézeronce in the Dauphiné, France, between the Franks and the Burgundians. The Frankish king Chlodomer of Orléans was killed in the fighting, and although the Franks are said to have won, the Burgundian kingdom under Godomar survived for another ten years. It was part of the Frankish wars that ended with the conquest of Burgundy in 534.
