Also known as Bistun

Bisotun is a village and archaeological site in Kermanshah province, western Iran, at the foot of a mountain on the ancient road from Mesopotamia to the Iranian plateau. Its cliff bears the trilingual Behistun Inscription of Darius I, carved around 520 BCE, along with later Parthian and Sasanian reliefs. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006.
