de Bohun family
The de Bohuns were an Anglo-Norman noble family who were earls of Hereford from 1200, later also earls of Essex, and hereditary constables of England. They held large marcher lordships in Wales, including Brecknock, which came to them by marriage from the de Braose family. The male line ended in 1373, and the inheritance was divided between Thomas of Woodstock and the future Henry IV, who married the two heiresses.
