Hereford

Hereford is a cathedral city on the River Wye in western England, the county town of Herefordshire. A bishopric was established there in the late 7th century for the Magonsaete, and the diocese long kept the outline of their kingdom. Its cathedral holds the Hereford Mappa Mundi of about 1300 and a chained library.
