Burg Katz
Burg Katz (Katz Castle) is a castle above St. Goarshausen on the right bank of the Middle Rhine in Germany, built around 1371 by Count William II of Katzenelnbogen. Facing Rheinfels Castle across the river, it helped the counts control the Rhine tolls, and its popular name 'Cat' contrasts with the nearby Burg Maus. Blown up in 1806, it was rebuilt in 1896–1898 and lies within the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site.
