Charibael was a king of the Himyarites and Sabaeans in south Arabia in the 1st century CE, known from the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea. The Periplus says he ruled from Saphar, the Himyarite capital Zafar, and kept friendly relations with the Roman emperors through frequent embassies. He is usually identified with a king named Karib'il in Himyarite inscriptions.
